Taxonomy
Jilinocaris was named by Schram et al. (2000). It is not extant. Its type is Jilinocaris chinensis.

It was assigned to Spongicolidae by Schweitzer et al. (2010); and to Stenopodidae by Schweitzer et al. (2023).
