Taxonomy
Permolestes soyanaiensis was named by Nel et al. (2012). Its type specimen is PIN 3353/63, a wing (fore and hindwing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Soyana (PIN collection 3353), which is in a Roadian lagoonal siliciclastic in the Iva-Gora Beds Formation of the Russian Federation.
