Herdina mirificus

Taxonomy
Herdina mirificus was named by Carpenter and Richardson (1971). Its type specimen is Herdina H412, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Pit 11, Braidwood, Mazon Creek (Herdina coll), which is in a Westphalian D deltaic mudstone in the Carbondale Formation of Illinois. It is the type species of Herdina.
