Taphacris bittaciformis
Taxonomy
Eobanksia bittaciformis was named by Cockerell (1909) [Initially interpreted as a pair of wings, but later realized to be a single orthopteran hindwing]. It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant, Station 13B, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.
It was recombined as Taphacris bittaciformis by Cockerell (1926).
