Osmylopsis duplicata
Taxonomy
Abia duplicata was named by Giebel (1856). Its type specimen is NHM Pal.I.3954, a hindwing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Durlston Bay, Lower Purbeck, Swanage (Brodie coll.), which is in a Berriasian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in the Lulworth Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Osmylopsis.
It was recombined as Osmylopsis duplicata by Handlirsch (1906), Martynova (1949), Jepson et al. (2012), Winterton et al. (2019).
