Khanitermes acutipennis
Taxonomy
Valditermes acutipennis was named by Ponomarenko (1988). Its type specimen is PIN 4271/1, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Shar-Tolgoy (PIN collection 4271), which is in an Aptian lacustrine marl in the Shar-Tolgoy Formation of Mongolia.
It was recombined as Khanitermes acutipennis by Engel et al. (2007) and Krishna et al. (2013).
