Taxonomy
Obotritagrion petersi was named by Zessin (1991). Its type specimen is LD 1963/1(2), a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Dobbertin, Mecklenburg (Zessin collection), which is in a Toarcian marine claystone in Germany.
