Taxonomy
Obotritagrion tenuiformum was named by Zessin (1991). Its type specimen is LD 2323/1(2), a wing (wing missing base), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Dobbertin, Mecklenburg (Zessin collection), which is in a Toarcian marine claystone in Germany.
