Carabites creta
Taxonomy
Carabites creta was named by Ponomarenko (1977). Its type specimen is PIN 2383/111, an exoskeleton (head with pronotum, meso- and metasternum), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Kzyl-Zhar Locality (PIN collection 2383), which is in a Turonian pond mudstone in Kazakhstan.
