Nanophydes ovatus

Taxonomy
Nanophydes ovatus was named by Arnoldi (1977). Its type specimen is PIN 1789/102, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Karatau-Galkino (PIN collection 1789), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Nanophydes.
