Palaeomastax carbonis
Taxonomy
Palaeomastax carbonis was named by Handlirsch (1904). Its type specimen is RBINS a7700, a wing (fragment), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Belle-et-Bonne coliery, Avaleresse pit, Frameries, which is in a Westphalian C terrestrial siliciclastic in the Flénu Formation of Belgium.
It was recombined as Omalia carbonis by Pruvost (1930) and Brauckmann et al. (2001).
