Taxonomy
Litogaster tiefenbachensis was named by Assmann (1927). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tiefenbach near Crailsheim, which is in an Illyrian carbonate limestone in Germany.
It was synonymized subjectively with Aspidogaster limicola by Förster (1967), Szyperko-Śliwczyńska (1976).
