Procurculio fortipes

Taxonomy

Procurculio fortipes was named by Arnoldi (1977). Its type specimen is PIN 2066/2339, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Karatau-Mikhailovka (PIN collection 2066), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan.

Synonyms

Eccoptothorax latipennis was named by Arnoldi (1977). Its type specimen is PIN 2554/720, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Karatau-Mikhailovka (PIN collection 2554), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan.

It was recombined as Procurculio latipennis by Gratshev and Zherikhin (1995) and Legalov (2010); it was synonymized subjectively with Procurculio fortipes by Gratshev and Legalov (2014) and Legalov (2015).
