Taxonomy
Apion (Aspidapion) khnzoriani was named by Zherikhin (1971). Its type specimen is PIN 364/819, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber (PIN collection 364), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Lithuania. It is the type species of Pseudaspidapion.
It was recombined as Pseudaspidapion khnzoriani by Gratshev and Zherikhin (2003), Legalov (2015), Legalov (2019).
