Abrenthorrhinus brevirostris

Taxonomy
Brenthorrhinus brevirostris was named by Gratshev and Zherikhin (1996). Its type specimen is PIN 2384/510, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Karatau-Mikhailovka (PIN collection 2384), which is in a Kimmeridgian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Abrenthorrhinus.

It was recombined as Abrenthorrhinus brevirostris by Legalov (2009), Legalov (2012), Gratshev and Legalov (2014), Legalov (2015), Legalov (2025).
