Taxonomy
Empheropsocus margineglabrus was named by Baz and Ortuño (2001). Its type specimen is MCNA-9755, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Peñacerrada outcrop I, which is in an Albian terrestrial amber in the Escucha Formation of Spain.
