Paciphacops was named by Maksimova (1971) [Sepkoski's age data: D Gedi-l D Eife Sepkoski's reference number: 421,1106]. It is not extant. Its type is Phacops logani.

It was assigned to Phacopida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Phacopidae by Jell and Adrain (2002).
