Taxonomy
Prospeolepta brevicubita was named by Blagoderov (2000). Its type specimen is PIN 4271/1481, a wing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Shar-Tolgoy (PIN collection 4271), which is in an Aptian lacustrine marl in the Shar-Tolgoy Formation of Mongolia.
