Taxonomy
Polylepta (Lyptolape) olenguiensis was named by Blagoderov (2000). Its type specimen is PIN 2328/2366, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Semen creek, outcrop 1, bed 7 (PIN collection 2328), which is in an Aptian lacustrine mudstone in the Turga Formation of the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Polylepta olenguiensis by Oliveira and Amorim (2021).
