Taxonomy
Parasialis ovata was named by Ponomarenko (2000). Its type specimen is PIN 4305/235, a forewing (distal half), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Bor-Tologoi (PIN collection 4305), which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Tsankhin Formation of Mongolia.
