Taxonomy
Succinofibla aperta was named by Aspöck and Aspöck (2004). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Naturhistorisches Museum in Wien (NHMW) collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Succinofibla.
