Antarcticheles antarcticus

Taxonomy
Antarcticheles antarcticus was named by Aguirre-Urreta et al. (1990). Its type specimen is CIRGEO 1248, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sharp Valley near Stoneley Point, which is in a Kimmeridgian/Tithonian marine shale in the Ameghino Formation of Antarctica. It is the type species of Antarcticheles.
