Prorhaphidophora zeuneri was named by Chopard (1936). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber (Bachofen-Echt collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Protroglophilus zeuneri by Gorochov (2010).
