Synonyms

Decticidae was named by Herman (1874). It is extant. Its type is Decticus.

It was reranked as the subfamily Decticinae by Zeuner (1939), Harz (1967) and Harz (1969); it was synonymized subjectively with Tettigoniinae by Mugleston et al. (2018).

It was assigned to Tettigoniidae by Zeuner (1939), Harz (1967) and Harz (1969).
Tettigoniini was named by Krauss (1902). It is extant.

It was considered an invalid subgroup of Tettigoniinae by Mugleston et al. (2018).

It was assigned to Tettigoniinae by Gorochov (1995), Garai (2010) and Storozhenko et al. (2015).
Platyclees was named by Brunner von Wattenwyl (1893). It is extant. Its type is Platycleis.

It was corrected as Platycleidini by Garai (2010); it was considered an invalid subgroup of Tettigoniinae by Mugleston et al. (2018).
