Megamenopon rasnitsyni
Taxonomy
Megamenopon rasnitsyni was named by Wappler et al. (2004). Its type specimen is NHMM PE1997/33.LS, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Eckfeld Maar (NHMN 1997 collection), which is in a MP 13 crater lake siltstone/shale in the Eifel Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Megamenopon.
