Jurabuprestis karatauensis
Taxonomy
Jurabuprestis karatauensis was named by Alexeev (2000). Its type specimen is PIN 2239/1101, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Karatau-Mikhailovka (PIN collection 2239), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Jurabuprestis.
