Vilviopsis picta
Taxonomy
Vilviopsis picta was named by Rasnitsyn (2004). Its type specimen is UNM 13141, a wing (wing missing base), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is NMMNH L-3433; Carrizo Arroyo (UNM collection), which is in an Asselian pond mudstone in the Bursum Formation of New Mexico.
