Carrizopteron longum
Taxonomy
Carrizopteron longum was named by Rasnitsyn (2004). Its type specimen is UNM 6860, a wing (almost complete somewhat damaged wing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is NMMNH L-3433; Carrizo Arroyo (UNM collection), which is in an Asselian pond mudstone in the Bursum Formation of New Mexico. It is the type species of Carrizopteron.
