Taxonomy
Holasicia sustai was named by Kukalová (1958). Its type specimen is Mun. Mus. Ostrava B13189, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Hlubina Pit, Karvina (seam 24), which is in a Westphalian A terrestrial siliciclastic in the Karvina Formation of the Czech Republic.
It was recombined as Mertovia sustai by Prokop and Nel (2007), Prokop et al. (2014).
