Taxonomy
Burmantis lebanensis was named by Grimaldi (2003). Its type specimen is AMNH L26, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Lebanese amber, Bchare Mountain (AMNH collection), which is in a Barremian terrestrial amber in Lebanon.
It was recombined as Gryllomantis lebanensis by Gorochov (2006).
