Taxonomy
Archipsocus (Archipsocopsis) antiguus was named by Mockford (1969). Its type specimen is UCMP 10176, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is UCMP B-7041, Balumtun landslide, Simojovel region, which is in a Miocene terrestrial amber in Mexico.
It was recombined as Archipsocopsis antigua by Lienhard and Smithers (2002).
