Taxonomy
Callimokaltania was named by Zalessky (1955). Its type is Callimokaltania martynovi. It is the type genus of Callimokaltaniidae.
It was assigned to Permaeschnidae by Carpenter (1992); and to Callimokaltaniidae by Zalessky (1955), Rohdendorf (1961), Huguet et al. (2002).
