Taxonomy
Phyloblatta carbonica was named by Becker-Migdisova (1961). Its type specimen is PIN 1281/270, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Zheltyi Yar (PIN collection 1281), which is in a Gzhelian pond siliciclastic in the Alykaevskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
