Taxonomy
Phyloblatta triangularis was named by Becker-Migdisova (1961). Its type specimen is PIN 742/116, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Zheltyi Yar (PIN collection 742), which is in a Gzhelian pond siliciclastic in the Alykaevskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Xenoblatta triangularis by Schneider (1978) and Schneider (1983).
