Taxonomy
Chesaconcavus was named by Zullo (1992) [Sepkoski's age data: T Ol-u T Plio-u Sepkoski's reference number: 1036]. Its type is Balanus concavus chesapeakensis.

It was assigned to Cirripedia by Sepkoski (2002); and to Concavinae by Zullo (1992) and Chan et al. (2021).
