Taxonomy
Euphaeinae was named by Jacobson and Bianchi (1905). It is extant. Its type is Euphaea.

It was synonymized subjectively with Epallagidae by Bechly (2007); it was reranked as the family Euphaeidae by Carpenter (1992), Nel (2020).

It was assigned to Zygoptera by Carpenter (1992); and to Calopterygoidea by Nel (2020).
