Rhagionempis tabanicornis
Taxonomy
Rhagionempis tabanicornis was named by Rohdendorf (1938). Its type specimen is PIN 979/2465, a wing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Karatau-Karabastau (PIN collection 2465), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Rhagionempis.
