Taxonomy
Solidobalanus was named by Hoek (1913) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo-m-u R Sepkoski's reference number: 346]. It is extant.

It was synonymized subjectively with Hesperibalanus by Zullo and Kite (1985).

It was assigned to Cirripedia by Sepkoski (2002); to Archaeobalanidae by Zullo and Baum (1979), McLaughlin et al. (2005), Jones (2007); and to Archaeobalaninae by Zullo (1982), Chan et al. (2021).
