Taxonomy
Phora laminarum was named by Brues (1908). Its type specimen is AMNH, an exoskeleton (specimen poorly preserved except hindlegs), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant, Station 14, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.
It was recombined as Paraspiniphora laminarum by Cockerell (1913); it was recombined as Chaetopleurophora laminarum by Brown (1999).
