Taxonomy
Scylla floridana was named by Rathbun (1935). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is East bank of Apalachicola River along Florida Highway 1, Chattahoochee, which is in an Oligocene/Miocene marine limestone in the Arcadia Formation of Florida.
