Gonioneptunites hungarica
Taxonomy
Neptunus hungaricus was named by Lörenthey (1898). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Solymar, which is in an Eocene carbonate limestone/siliciclastic in Hungary. It is the type species of Colneptunus, Gonioneptunites.
It was recombined as Gonioneptunites hungarica by Via (1959); it was recombined as Colneptunus hungaricus by Lorenthey (1929), Schweitzer et al. (2010), Schweitzer et al. (2021).
