Timarchopsis aquaticus
Taxonomy
Necronectes aquaticus was named by Ponomarenko (1977). Its type specimen is PIN 772/23, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Ust-Baley (PIN collection 722), which is in a Toarcian lacustrine - small horizon in the Cheremkhovskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
It was synonymized subjectively with Timarchopsis czekanowskii by Soriano et al. (2007); it was recombined as Timarchopsis aquaticus by Wang et al. (2010).
