Taxonomy
Neurolyga magnifica was named by Nel and Prokop (2006). Its type specimen is PA 167, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Oise amber, Le Quesnoy, which is in a Ypresian terrestrial amber in the Argiles d'lignite du Soissonnais Formation of France.
It was recombined as Cordylomyia magnifica by Fedotova and Perkovsky (2007).
