Mesocinetus mongolicus
Taxonomy
Mesocinetus mongolicus was named by Ponomarenko (1986). Its type specimen is PIN 3149/1028, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Gurvan-Ereny-Nuruu (Outcrop 236/29), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large shale/sandstone in the Gurvan-Eren Formation of Mongolia.
