Echinochimaera meltoni
Taxonomy
Echinochimaera meltoni was named by Lund (1977). Its type specimen is MV1 5371 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is MV 7106, Supercrop Quarry, Bear Gulch, which is in an Arnsbergian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in the Heath Formation of Montana. It is the type species of Echinochimaera.
