Taxonomy
Odonterpeton triangulare was named by Moodie (1909). It is not extant. Its type specimen is USNM 4465, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Linton, which is in a Westphalian D mire/swamp coal in Ohio. It is the type species of Odonterpeton.
