Tetraphalerites oligocenicus

Taxonomy
Tetraphalerites oligocenicus was named by Crowson (1962). Its type specimen is BMNH I.8611, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bembridge Marls (Brodie coll), which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Bouldnor Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Tetraphalerites.

It was recombined as Tetraphalerus oligocenicus by Tan et al. (2007).
