Taxonomy
Prohemerobius latus was named by Handlirsch (1920). Its type specimen is GPI EMAU 57/8, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Dobbertin, Mecklenburg (Greifswald collection), which is in a Toarcian offshore claystone in Germany.
