Falsispeculum karatavicus

Taxonomy
Protogryllus karatavicus was named by Sharov (1968). Its type specimen is PIN 2384/255, a forewing (proximal 2/3 of male forewing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Karatau-Mikhailovka (PIN collection 2384), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan.

It was recombined as Falsispeculum karatavicus by Gorochov (1985) and Pérez-de la Fuente et al. (2012).
