Chimaerocoleus aenigma
Taxonomy
Chimaerocoleus aenigma was named by Ponomarenko (1985). Its type specimen is PIN 2791/11, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Lyagush'ye, PIN collection 2791, Chernyy Etap 1, which is in a Toarcian/Aalenian terrestrial horizon in the Osinovo Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Chimaerocoleus.
